The Associated Jehovah's Witnesses for Reform on BloodWho are we?The Associated Jehovah's Witnesses for Reform on Blood is a diverse group of Witnesses from many countries. Some members are presently serving as elders and Hospital Liaison Committee members or have previously served in that capacity. Additionally, other members are from the medical field or have friends or relatives who are Witnesses. All have volunteered their time and energies in an effort to bring about an end to a tragic and misguided policy that has claimed thousands of lives, many of them children. What is our objective? To educate Jehovah's Witnesses, their family members, friends and health care providers regarding the irrational aspects of the Watchtower Society's policy on the use of blood and blood products. To promote reform of the Watchtower's policy so that each Jehovah's Witness can have a free and informed choice regarding their health care - without fear of control or sanctions from the Watchtower Society (and member congregations) that can separate them from their family members and friends. How can I become a member of the association? For security reasons we have elected to have no formal membership at this time. If you have read the information on the site and support our objective, subscribe to our list. If you would like to be involved - write to us at info@ajwrb.org. If you can tell us something about your background or experience and capabilities, we will try to put your talents to work. Your financial support is greatly appreciated as well. Can I contact other members of AJWRB? You may contact the AJWRB members listed below. If you are a current Jehovah's Witness, it is recommended that you set up an anonymous email account at hotmail or some similar web based email provider that doesn't require you to use your real name. Password protect your computer and do not allow other Jehovah's Witnesses to view your email, bookmarks or notes. What is requested of members of the association? That according to your abilities and personal circumstances you will be an advocate of reform and support AJWRB and assist in achieving its goals. Some members have established foreign language versions of the AJWRB web site so our work has become international in its scope. All AJWRB members are volunteers - please do not make excessive demands of their time. Lee Elder - Lee
