"1994 Zaragoza, Spain: Judith Riberas was 14 years old and came from Lerida. She had meningitis. Her mother was a Jehovah's Witness but her father was opposed to the Watchtower's teachings. Both parents were separated. Judith desperately needed a blood transfusion but her mother refused to allow it. Her father was in France at the time making a delivery. He was notified of Judith's condition and was in route to the hospital. But because of the mother's denial, a court order had to be obtained.
