For Jehovah’s Witnesses the Biblical perspective should be of primary importance. Just how compelling of a case can be presented for a scriptural injunction regarding the use of blood transfusions or the transfusion of the few remaining blood components currently forbidden by the Watchtower Society?
The word “blood” occurs 463 times in the Bible. It is not practical nor necessary for us to review every verse where this word occurs. We will instead focus attention on those texts that have been used in support of the doctrine, as well as a few other verses that appear relevant. We will attempt to be brief and focus attention on key points. We have by no means endeavored to be exhaustive.

This document can be reviewed in about five minutes and outlines some of the main points that need to be considered.
